Alyssa Hedstrom, DDS — Dentist

Alyssa grew up in Grand Marais, graduating from Cook County High School. After receiving her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2004, she joined her father, Dr. Rolf, in practicing dentistry.  Alyssa took over the practice in May of 2008. Alyssa has three daughters; together the family loves sailing, swimming, traveling and adventures of all sorts. Her hobbies include astrology, fashion, knitting and sewing her own clothes.  Professionally, Alyssa is a member of the ADA, MDA, NEDDS and AOS.  She was instrumental in the creation of the Oral Health Task Force and continues to support their efforts as a board member and with her contributions of services. One thing Alyssa enjoys about dentistry is the ability to continue to learn and grow as dentistry evolves. Continuing education is an important part of professional development and Alyssa stays connected to dentistry through her love of learning. Alyssa loves working and living in Cook County, and every day is thankful for the opportunity to practice a profession she loves for a community she is proud to be a member.
